Rescue Stories

Indigo Rescue directs a great deal of our efforts to promoting spaying and neutering and deterring animal abandonment. Although we no longer operate as an adoption agency, we continue to rescue and adopt out urgent cases from local animal shelters and other special needs cases. We can't help it, it's in our hearts.

Indigo Rescue provides ongoing consultation with independent rescuers by guiding them while they provide food, shelter and medical care for abandoned animals. We help them write ads, post biographies with services such as Petfinders, interview potential adopters, and deliver pets to new homes. We continue to encourage individuals to provide some kind of help for every abandoned animal who wanders into their lives. (see Finding a home for a rescued animal).
